French Creek

I picked up my new Cannondale Taurine 1 the day before french creek.  I didn't even get a chance to ride it before I raced it on Saturday.  French Creeks 11.5 mile course was killer.  The way the course started on a 15 minute climb was intense.  The downhills were so long and rocky my arms would feel like jello when i finally reached the bottom.  Right off the gun, Madison Caleb and I pulled right away from the rest of the group.  We were flying up the first hill, and i was leading going into the first descent.  I lead into the bottom of the hill and during the long gradual hill there was tons of lead changes.  Madison caught a stick in his derailer and had to stop.  Caleb and I tried to take advantage of that and pushed ahead even faster.  Than I broke away from Caleb for awhile until Madison caught me.  After Madison caught me he just pulled away and i couldn't keep him in my sights.  Caleb and I were trying to so hard to catch Madison but we couldn't.  Me and Caleb were battling until the final climb where i felt very strong and pulled away from him.  I ended up beating Caleb by about 4 minutes and losing to Madison by 3.  I loved my new bike very much and i felt faster.  French Creek was sick  race!!!!!!!!!!
