!!!N@TIONALS!!!

The trip started off, with the long 5 hour drive up to Mount Snow.  When we got up there Jenny, Zach, Jake, Fernando, and I went on a nice easy spin.  We rode for a hour, all over the mountain checking things out and looking at the pretty views.  That night my Dad and I got Chinese food for dinner, I got a lucky fortune cookie.........
It turned out to be true!!!

Friday, I went on 2 laps on the XC course, and I got a great feel of things.  Unfortunatley, the frame of my Taurine is cracked.  So, Brian gave me a Caffeine to ride.  My second ride on a 29er was the biggest race of the year....great.  After that I walked around the pits and checked everything out.  The Oakley truck was unreal

Race Day..The morning started off with me eating a great breakfast at my hotel.  Even after my lucky fortune cookie,  I still wasn't sure how well I would do.  I was the younger person in my group, and a little nervous.  I pulled up to the start line, and the kids were looking huge.

The gun went and they were flying.  I was about mid pack going up the first hill and down the descent.  I caught and passed some of the people on the second steep climb.  The drums helped me to get into a great rythem and kept me moving.  The rest of the race I kind of just held my position not knowing what it was.  I found out I was in second at the start of the second lap.  I dropped the kid in third who was on my tail, on the climbs.  But then he caught me on the descents.

We came down the gravel road neck and neck, but i just didn't have enough in me to go get him, as he pulled away.  So I ended up in 3rd with a time of 1:12.

That night after my race, everyone was down at the pool having fun.  Afterwards, I went upstairs to my room and fell right asleep.

The next day I just watched trials, the semi pros, and pros all day.
That night I went to the pool again, and had a great time!

The next morning I had to get up early for Super-D!  This was the first time I have ever done that and it was pretty crazy.  I got a chance to get a lap i which really helped.  I had to race in the 18 and under class which was crazy.  Right in the beginning, everyone was pushing and shoving.  On the first to rock drops, like 5 people went down and it was crazy.  I ended up 18 of 29 which I was pretty happy with.  The weekend was really fun, and I had a great time!!

ha ha. the stoopid completely destroyed my season, so it's probably good for me to stay out of endurance events for a while.

even though i had a good time, i don't think i was ready for it. i payed for it with a few weeks of bad racing.
