Thanksgiving was great! I hope everyone else's was to. I think i still felt a little slow yet Saturday. This past weekend was the Pa State Championships put on by visit Pa, Bear Creek and a bunch of other awesome sponsors. I was really excited because this was a big race and Zach was coming down to ride on Friday and then take me to the race on Saturday. I had off School and wanted to do something before Zach got there so me and my friends went skiing at bear creek, something came up and I was a little late getting home to Zach. We went on a fun ride on the perkiomen trail through the dark. As we came around a corner i saw a light straight ahead and just started riding at it. I heard Zach say where are you going and before i knew it i was crashing off the side of the trail into some thicket. I got up and just laughed it was pretty funny. We went home had some Chinese and got ready for the race. We showed up early enough for Zach to race his college class where he won his first state championship of the day! Next i had to get ready i warmed up and wasn't expecting much competition when i saw this could that i couldn't tell if he was a junior or not. Zach said he wasn't so i didn't worry. When i saw him at the start i was a little worried. He looked fast. Then Zach said he was the kid who got 3rd to Aaron and Brandon at seven springs last year. I knew i was going to be in for a long race. The course was really twisty so i could often see him and he could see me. He didn't even look like he was trying. He never once stood up that i saw and just pulled right away from me. On the start he didn't push himself just waited for us to slow down and picked us off one bye one. I tried my best to catch him which might not have been the smartest idea. I should have saved energy for the B race instead of wasting it on an impossible feat. I ended up 2nd which i was happy with considering it was to a really fast 18 year old. After that i had like 10 minutes until the B race went off. Oh man i was regreting that about half way through. I had a front row start and was a little scared. I didn't want to use it but Zach made me. Not even half way up the starting row i went from about front row to back third i just didn't have it after the hard first race. I ended up 26th having my own pretty good battles with people i was near. The cool thing about B races is matter where you are in the pack you will still be fighting with every person! Zach went on to win the B race claiming his second state championship of the day! Nice Job Zach!! After the race Jake, his parents, sister, zach and i went to dinner. We had a blast, we ended up sitting in the Arby's for like an hour resting and laying around. It was fun. The upcoming race is the last race of the year and i am stoaked. I want to go out with a flash!!
