General Bergey's Battle at Shenandoah

The past weekend was the Who-Haa Kenda cup race.  It was insane, probably one of the toughest courses ive ever raced.  The long weekend started off with the nice 2 1/2 ride to Carlise, where we picked up Jake, who would finish out the long journey with us.  After a grueling 5 hour drive we finally managed to arrive at the venue.   It was weird because you drove down this small dirt road, and then all of a sudden a mini mount snow kinda thing was right there.  We found Kyle, Forrest, and Jacob, and then went out for a preride.  The course was incredible, i cant imagine how much work it must have taken to create that epic climb.  After a few spills, and a few shortcuts we eventually ended up at the end, probably riding a little to long.  After we got back, we cleaned bikes, and just laid around.

With an early rise, and some excellent waffles prepared by Brian, i was feeling ready to race.  The cat 1 18and under class was 2nd in the mass start.  We started right behind the senior 1s and i managed to get in the second row.  I felt fairly good 1st lap, died the second.  The heat and climbing combined for a killer race! i got 6th, the weekend was a blast

Last Thursday me and Kyle went up to trexlerstown to do the training crit, it rained and was canceled so we had our own race!

I leave today for road camp, im really excited!!

See you at Neshaminy
