Funnest race of the year so far, let me start of by saying it was a fantastic time. Zach swung by early friday morning to help set up for the spring mountain race which was two days away. After setting up course in the dry, we loaded are bikes in the rain and i knew we were in for a treat. What were the chances, rain on the first day of cross, sweetness. Somewhere in NJ on the way to the race, all of sudden i herd a bang, and Zachs bike was rubbing up against his mirror. We were on the left lance of the highway and had to scarmble to the shoulder on the right. Everything was alright and i was a little nervour about the integrity of the rack holding my bike to his roof as 60+MPH. Due to the rain their was little traffic getting into the fair which apparently is usually a problem. The rain stopped as we pulled into the parking lot which was pretty cool. We got out, registered, and got changed. I pulled to the start line a little nervous not knowing what to expect. I pumped my tubulars up to about 50psi the day before to make sure they were still good from last year. I did a last minute wheel change swap and put them on, guess what i forgot to do?? Check my air pressure, however it must have worked fairly well, cause accourding to Ken the announcer, I was "in control" and "power sliding" aroung the corners. Idk what was going on but it kinda worked. I had a good start, up towards the front. Stayed upright and eventually found myself in the front, i road that way till the finish.
