The race started off with me getting a terrible place in the back of the pack. The whistle blew and I had to wait like 10 seconds before being able to go. Apparently there was a crash that i was either in front of, or behind because i missed it. I immediately started picking people off and was working my way to the front. I kept moving up until i was in second place and didn't even notice. Then i finally passed the leader, on the final lap and came into the finish in first.....barley.
After the cross race Kyle, my dad and I went out for a xc lap. On the way to the trail head we saw Jay, from EWR, Craig Lander, Jamie, and somebody else i didn't know. We rode a fast lap and felt great. My technical skills seemed to be really on! Can't wait for my cross race on saturday and xc on sunday!!!!

How long was the race? If there's more at Bear Creek maybe I'll try and get tires on my bike and race a few
geeze gunnar you're a super star! i was up there pre-riding and watched some of the race from the parking lot, don't think i saw you...cya sunday!
I do have an old pair of lime green cross tires...they'd look sweet with the green handlebar tape. It's kinda late now cause I'd probably have to cut the tires to get them to fit. I'll keep my eye out for some closer cross races though.
