Last saturday was my first MAC cross race. I decided to do that and skip the short track at bear creek. The mourning of the race was actually quite cold. The course must have just been mowed because on my warm up laps my bike got covered in in grass. The race started and they decided to send the juniors 30 seconds behind the C's. One kid went really hard off the start and i had trouble keeping up. I stuck with him until after we crossed the sand pit. Then he kinda pulled away. There was another kid right behind me the entire race. 
My shoes i think were too small and my feet were freezing the entire 40 minutes!
I didn't end up passing the kid that went out really hard untill he dropped his chain on the barrers and had to stopped. I passed him never to see him again untill the final lap. He came up close to me for the last half lap untill i dropped him close to the end. I wasn't feeling very well and think i think i could have won by more.
I race was extreamley fun and I had a great time! Cant wait for the next one!
