Today was my first time doing two road rides in a row. It will probably be my last, my legs felt like crap the entire 24 miles. I averaged around 14mph, however I was by myself and riding on very hilly terrain. I'm starting to realize why most fast riders train on the road. It is a very good work out, one that I will need to start to do more often!!

road riding is a really good workout. you can ride hard the entire ride. chris eatough is on the trek mtb team and he rides 70% on the road.

just make sure you dont start racing on the road...
